While I always question taking my car to a new place as a young female, I felt very comfortable at Ponder after getting recommendations from co-workers. I had previously gone to a dealership here where I had loyalty but when they quoted $400 for a part alone I knew I needed to look elsewhere. Ponder identified the correct problem and fixed it for under $100 (!!!!!!) while naming other potential issues without any pressure. They were realistic in presenting the bottom line, which I appreciate as a student just trying to get my car through the last semester of grad school. Thank you!

No matter what kind of car I've owned, Ponders has kept them repaired and running. I have trusted them with my car since I moved back to J.C. I'm 1999. ASE certified mechanics and ethical shop! Joe Blow in the county may charge less but the Ponders run a trustworthy shop. And they're friendly, too. They treat women car owners with respect.

Ponder saved the day! I had new brake pads installed by another service center, and they left my brakes misaligned causing them to grind. The technician tried multiple times to fix the issue he caused, but was unable to. Finally I went to Ponder. They identified the issue and fixed my brakes. Also, they made some other non-immediate recommendations without applying any pressure. Pricing is transparent and I know I paid for quality service. I found my new service center in Johnson City!
